80^Th ANNIVERSARY OF THE CREATION OF THE LEAGUE (Founded 1946)

The committee have decided to commemorate this anniversary with a prize draw, where the winners will be drawn and announced at the 2027 AGM and presentation evening. The details of the draw is as follows:

 

Entry into the draw is gained automatically by all players scoring exactly 80 in any League game during the 2026/27 season.

There will be five draws in total, one each for Divisions one to five.

If a player achieves exactly 80 more than once, they will be entered into the draw for each occurrence (e.g. if achieved 3 times they will get 3 entries into their divisions draw).

At the 2027 AGM the names of all player’s that have achieved exactly 80 will be added into their respective divisions draw.

One name will be drawn for each division to ascertain the winner of the 5 prizes on offer.

There will be one prize of £80 per Division (a total of £400 across the 5 divisions)

During the season the player names will be added to the NEWS section of the website (latest news & reminders) so that everyone can see who is being entered into the prize draw per division as the season progresses.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

POSTPONED GAMES - AGM 2025 RULE 5 AMENDMENT (September 2025)

 

Rule 5 was amended to include the following requirement:

Details of all re-arranged games must be advised to the Divisional Secretary of the League by both teams within 28 days of the postponement.

HIGHEST AWAY AVERAGES TROPHIES

 

Due to the disparity in the number of teams within each Division, no player may miss more than two away games in a Season to win the Highest Away Averages Trophies.

 

REVIEW OF PLAYER DATABASE RECORDS

 

Would all Team Secretaries/Team Administrators please ensure that the names, home addresses, contact numbers and email address details of all registered players are up-to-date.

 

Furthermore, many teams have players registered that have not played for years, so please review your player lists and any player(s) unlikely to play in the season ahead should be marked as "Hidden". Doing this will not only make the weekly results submission process quicker and easier but also reduce errors because not so many names will appear on the results score card. Players can always be "Unhidden" should they ever play again.

 

Last, but by no means least, to enable the League to operate effectively, each team needs to designate two contact points and Data Protection Rules and Regulations necessitate that the information the League hold about your team is up-to-date, relevant and correct. The two designated contact points on your team's Season 2025-26 Entry Form should be identical to the two designated contact points in each team's player database records on the website.
