Knockout Competition Rules

THE LEAGUE’S RULES APPLY TO ALL KNOCKOUT COMPETITIONS BUT FOR THE FRONT PIN TRIPLES COMPETITION, THE FOLLOWING ADDITIONAL RULES APPLY:-

The Front Pin must be floored by the ball before scoring commences.

If the Front Pin is floored by another pin, the Front Pin alone is re-spotted without score. Any other pin floored stays down.

If the Front Pin is struck over by the ball but then re-stands, it shall be deemed to have been floored and all pins floored by that ball will count and stay down.

FRONT PIN TRIPLES (TWO COMPETITIONS)

SEPARATE COMPETITIONS FOR DIVISIONS 1-3 & DIVISIONS 4-7

Both Competitions will be free events open to all registered Gloucester Charity Skittles League Players.

The events will be pre drawn up until the Quarter Final stage, thereafter drawn on the night.

Each side may enter up to 4 teams of up to 5 players.

No player may play for more than one team and League Rule 10 does not apply.

The Competition will be based on teams of 3 playing 5 legs of FRONT PIN skittles.

In the event of a tie, extra legs will be played until a winner is determined.

A game will be deemed to be over as soon as a result has been confirmed.

Highest Lady’s score as determined when the competition ends - £25*

* Prize money will be equally divided if highest scores are tied.

CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS - FLORENCE ANNIE DEE TROPHY & ALLSPORTS CUP

The above trophies will be awarded based on highest team positions in a virtual league. Only the top team from each division will be imported into the Champion of Champions table and this table will be displayed constantly on the website throughout the season.

Overall team positions are determined by dividing the number of points each leading team has accumulated by the number of games they have played so as to give an average points tally per game.

The Florence Annie Dee Trophy will be awarded to the team which has the highest average points tally at the end of each season and the Allsports Cup will be awarded to the team which has the second highest average points tally at the end of each season.

YOUNG PLAYERS - LIBRARIANS '25' TROPHY & DOUG BURROWS MEMORIAL CUP

These Trophies are awarded to the two young players attaining the highest individual scores during the Ivan Pritchard Competition.

To qualify, young players must be registered to play in the Gloucester Charity Skittles League and be under 25 on the first day of the current season.
