Match Notes

The last match of the season saw both teams in a situation where the eventual outcome of the game hardly mattered, Comets were stuck firmly in the relegation zone and Flyers were safe from that prospect, but following a season that often saw them struggle to get 10 players together, they remained stuck in the bottom half of the table. The 1st Half saw Comets take an early lead and Flyers struggled to put a good leg together whilst Comets built on their early lead to win the half by 30 pins. The 2nd Half was a complete reversal and then, somehow Comets never seemed to settle and Flyers ran away with the 2nd Half, only losing the 10th leg (and that was only by two pins), eventually taking the half by 75 pins and the match overall by 45 pins. A very positive way for Flyers to finish the season.
